Unfortunate

It doesn’t seem to be just one thing.  Losing my job before the holidays was stressful enough, but that was only the beginning.  They say things comes in three’s and sure enough it did for me.  A beloved family member who is in stage IV has taken a turn for the worst.  On top of that, a friend of mine ended his life when he crashed his motorcycle into parked cars, intoxicated.  He was a block away from home returning from a party.  He had a DUI and wasn’t suppose to be driving, but had purchased a motorcycle in secret.  So called friends saw him leave the party drunk and just warned him that he should not be driving.  They were too self-absorbed to do anything else.  This did not have to happen.  Real friends do not let friends drive drunk!  For the love of life, take away their keys, fight them if they are too stubborn, and don’t give up!

Hopelessness, devastation, and anger consumes me.  I’m done for the year.

Here’s a poem I would like to call

The Luckiest Person:

Look around the world today,

I’m a lucky person

The most unlucky person

In the world

I have such a great family.

Because I’m a lucky person

Yet the most unlucky person

In the world.

Things are going bright today

As I’m a lucky person.

The most unlucky person

In the world.

Someone will die,

I’ll say

They’re a lucky person

The most unlucky person

In the world.
