Silence is violence, and that violence doesn’t have to be shown on the outside. When I brought up issues with discrimination all I got was silence. For liability’s sake, someone looked into it, but nothing was ever really done to help me move forward. The silence was so bad I wanted to end my life. Violence doesn’t have to be physical. It can be as subtle as turning your head away from what you know is wrong. It can be ignoring someone asking for help or telling someone that’s not your problem or it is out of your hands. I really hope people learn to speak out when they see a human being suffering from injustice and inequality. #silenceisviolence #equalityforall #behuman
