Digression to Milk

Books and fire don’t mix

       Together they ignite

             Paper chips into flames

                  From once animated trees

                       Who have lost their bark

The books bark back in defiance

     Like dogs going

        Bow Wow to

           Politics and Men

As they read

      They spark off like

             Rocket ships into space

Rocket man, Armstrong,

         With a single flag,

               Landed a stronghold on our

Conquered moon

In the name of America

        Land of the free

             Loading billionaires

                     Skimming people like

                                                     Milk.
